Strength

“I’m not strong enough.”

“I can’t do this.”

“I can’t see how this is going to work out.”

Are we strong enough?  No.  But God is.  Always.

We don’t see the strength beforehand…it comes as we need it, step by step.

And that’s where I rest, in Jesus’ hands, where there is rest and peace and protection.

So many people I know are going through some very difficult times.  I find myself praying more and more.  I have to have another surgery on my ankle in October.  More inactivity, more propping the foot up for hours on end.  But also, more time to spend with the One who has all the strength and hope and answers and power.  Jesus.  Thank God for that.

“God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”  ~Isaiah 40:29

Fresh Wind

Those who know me know that I love the wind.  Cleansing, refreshing, roaring, invigorating wind.

New starts and reinvigorated beginnings feel like fresh wind.  I am so thankful that God gives us that shot in the arm just when we need it.  “The wind blows wherever it pleases.  You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.  So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”  ~Jesus, John 3:8
