A Toad on the Road

“I love to drive! I am a Toad.

Here I come – Toad on the road!”

These lines begin the awesome children’s book, “Toad on the Road,” written by Susan Schade and Jon Buller.  This is one kids’ book that I love…this cute little toad is extremely happy to be traveling, sitting in his car, going here and there, picking up his friends for further adventures.  I have been known to quote lines from this book as I sit behind the wheel; it just seems right.  Some of you might say that it is odd, but you already know how I feel about that!  🙂

I get so excited when I know that I am heading out on a trip, and it doesn’t always matter where I’m going.  Just sitting behind the wheel with good music on and the miles flying by under the wheels is good enough for me.

“Where are we now?  We don’t know.  We don’t care.  We just GO!”  (Schade & Buller)

May the road rise to meet you.  Slainte, Lisa
